Drew and Jonathan Scott have worked alongside many famous people over the years, some of whom were the first to seek their help.
On Monday, June 1st, on air The Kelly Clarkson Show« Brothers-builders »Jonathan chatted with guest host Andy Cohen. The conversation began with the fact that his friend now lives in Cohen's former apartment.
«"My friend said the apartment was great, but you kept calling him months later to make sure everything was okay, that nothing had happened," he said, praising Cohen. "So, my friend, you're a real champion.".
Cohen thanked Jonathan for his kind words, stating, "Look, I love this place, and I want it to be as wonderful for him as it is for me." Turning the conversation to the brothers' numerous HGTV shows, Cohen asked, "Do celebrities ever message you privately asking for help?"«
According to Drew, he and Jonathan are constantly approached by celebrities asking for help with home renovations and design. Recalling one message he received, Jonathan said, "That time, I literally had to call my friends immediately. Cher messaged me privately.".
In response to this revelation, Cohen jokingly fainted. «She looked the program "Real Estate Brothers" »" and screamed at the screen because the homeowners weren't listening to what I was saying," Jonathan explained, and Drew asked the audience, "Have you ever watched «Real Estate Brothers» and they would shout, „What are they even thinking?“ That’s exactly what she did.».
Drew said Serena Williams once messaged him about wanting to be part of the project. He added, "And also, when we were doing our show, Celebrity IOU , "Brad Pitt called Jonathan's cell phone out of the blue. He just wanted to come over and rock with us. He said, 'I love what you're doing. Can I come over and record a demo with you?'"„
Pitt appeared in the very first episode. Celebrity IOU In the 2020 premiere, the brothers helped Pitt convert his longtime makeup artist's detached garage into a guest room/dressing room.
«"When he was filming «Celebrity IOU» , "It was amazing. And I know what you're all thinking: 'Yeah, his hair smells good,'" Jonathan joked, recalling working with Pitt before praising the actor. "But he was passionate about design and focused on the very architecture of what we were doing. It was really cool.".
Drew joked, "And he's so damn strong. I think he's half god, because we'd have little challenges, like throwing hammers at a plaster wall, and he wouldn't give up. He literally embodies the characters he plays; he's like a superhero.".
When Cohen asked Jonathan how many episodes of TV shows they had under their belt, he replied that they had recently passed the 650 episode mark with their current series,« Property Brothers: Under Pressure» .
«"I know what you're thinking. Are they just giving you Emmys out of pity?" he joked, and Cohen added, "I thought, you two must be so rich.".
