If Pitt fans want to know why Supriya Ganesh was written out of the story after season two, the actress says Noah Wyle and the show's producers are best placed to answer that question.
In a conversation with the Los Angeles Times, Ganesh spoke more candidly about his departure from the series. When it was announced that Dr. Sameera Mohan would be leaving the show in season three, fans were understandably upset. Ganesh pointed the finger at executive producers R. Scott Gemmill, Wyle, and John Wells.
«"They work so hard on the show and make every decision for that very reason, so I think it's best to ask them for answers," Ganesh said. "I'll cherish all the memories of working with these two and everyone else. It was so wonderful to receive all this love from the fans. I feel sorry for them too that they won't get to see this character.".
«"The way you represented yourself on the show is just beautiful," added Isa Briones. "Seeing the fans support you so much and say, 'This is the first time I've felt represented on screen,' it's really amazing to see everyone come out and be excited about it and celebrate you.".
According to a source familiar with the situation, the decision to oust Ganesh was based on the plot of the series "Pitt," which depicts the turnover of doctors, nurses, and students at a university hospital.
«"People will continue to leave, and that's part of what makes it realistic for viewers," John Wells previously told TheWrap. "Going forward, those changes will also affect how we handle them.".
Dr. Mohan, played by Ganesh, is the second character in two seasons to leave the hospital between shifts. Dr. Collins, played by Tracy Ifeachor, left the series after the first season, despite several remaining storylines, including a previous relationship with Dr. Robbie.
