It looks like Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos' son's passion for acting isn't going anywhere.
The youngest of the Consuelos brothers, Joaquin , graduated from the University of Michigan last summer, and his first stop after college was Broadway, where he played the young eldest son of a traveling salesman in a revival of «Death of a Salesman» , which premiered in April.
His Broadway debut coincided with that of his father, who also starred in the revival of« Fallen Angels» , which premiered in April, and both instantly fell in love with the play.

In an interview with the New York Times published on June 1, both actors discussed their Broadway debuts and how they bonded over the shared experience, confirming that many more Broadway performances are likely in their future.
«"I really enjoyed it, and I'm already grieving about it," admitted 23-year-old Joaquin. "I'm already sad that it's all over. And now I want to do whatever I want. I don't want to limit myself.".
«I really enjoy it. I just love doing it. And while I’m here in New York, I would definitely do it again,» added Mark, who still occasionally acts in films and hosts LIVE with Kelly and Mark program along with his wife Kelly.

Speaking about what it was like to experience the momentous occasion together, Mark noted that "it took us a few weeks to realize that we were going to be performing on stage at the same time," which was "interesting and weird and cool.".
«"He started rehearsals before me, so I relied on him a little. He showed me a lot of the process. And he joked around with me at every turn, saying, 'Don't be nervous, Dad. Everything will be fine!'" he added.

Joaquin himself shared, "It's definitely a father-son experience - it's something we both wanted, and we're incredibly lucky that we're doing it at the same time," noting, "When we were doing technical rehearsals, which is notoriously difficult, and everyone is stressed, it was comforting for both of us that we were doing it at the same time.".
Sharing impressions also led to numerous late-night, adrenaline-fueled conversations. "As soon as the shows started, I'd come home, have dinner, and you'd be back an hour later. The adrenaline was still pumping after the show. 'How did it go?' 'Did you screw something up?' 'I messed everything up!'" Mark shared.

«"We knew we wouldn't be sleeping anytime soon, and that was the hardest skill to learn—how to relax after a show. So we'd both sit in the kitchen at the same time and talk," the father of three continued, with Joaquin adding, "We'd also meet at the gym. 'How was the show?' and 'What are you training today?' I'm going to miss that. It's great—we have a lot to talk about.".
Besides Joaquin, Mark, who has been married to his All My Children co-star Kelly Ripa since 1996, is also father to 29-year-old son Michael and 24-year-old daughter Lola.
