Masters of the Universe took the top spot at the box office on Friday, grossing more than $11.75 million, according to Box Office Mojo.
The film, which The Post called "a weird toy movie," is based on characters like He-Man and Skeletor, which were released by Mattel in the early 1980s.

In third place was another horror film, "Obsession," which, for the fourth time in its history, grossed $7.47 million.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu finished fifth, grossing $2.5 million on its third Friday.

Starring Pedro Pascal and Jeremy Allen White, the film is a sequel to the Disney+ series The Mandalorian and marks the franchise's first release since 2019's Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker.
Directed by Jon Favreau and budgeted at $165 million, the film reportedly posted its worst opening weekend since Disney acquired the franchise in 2012.
