Co-host of the program The View Ana Navarro reacted sharply to new polling results showing that many Latino voters who supported Donald Trump in the 2024 elections, now they express regret about it.
On the "Behind the Table" podcast, Navarro offered a blunt opinion.

She reminded listeners of her warnings made before the election. "I told you all that he would come for your aunts, your grandmothers, your friends, your colleagues, and the kids at school," she said.
Navarro responded to the article Axios titled "Shopper Disappointment Caught Up with Hispanic Trump Voters," published May 27, which highlighted new polls showing growing discontent among Hispanic Trump supporters.

A bipartisan survey of Latino voters, commissioned by UnidosUS, was conducted from April 27 to May 14 by BSP Research and Shaw & Company Research. The survey surveyed 3,000 registered Latino voters across the country. The survey was conducted in English and Spanish through telephone interviews, text prompts, and online panels.
The poll found that one in four Latino voters who voted for Trump will not vote for him again. Two-thirds of Latino voters disapprove of Trump's performance as president, including a majority in all regions surveyed and 51 percent in Florida.
«"Hispanics across the country are suffering the effects of a disastrous economy and an ongoing cost-of-living crisis, and they blame President Trump and Republicans in Congress for failing to address these issues," said UnidosUS President and CEO Janet Murguia in a statement accompanying the survey results.
Economic problems breed regret.
Navarro said the economy is the main reason Trump is losing support among Latinos. "The main reason he's losing support among Latinos… is the economy," she said, "because, like everyone else, they have to spend a lot of money and they just can't afford a lot.".

The survey results reflected these concerns. Sixty percent of Latino voters cited the cost of living and inflation as their top concern, followed by the economy, jobs, and wages (40 percent), healthcare (37 percent), and housing (27 percent). Immigration ranked fifth, at 21 percent.
Only 15 percent of Latino voters said they were living comfortably, while 68 percent believed the country was heading in the wrong direction, down from 60 percent in April 2025.
Some 52 percent of respondents said Trump's economic policies would worsen their situation over the next year. Rising prices for food, housing, healthcare, and fuel were among the top concerns for voters.
Enforcement of immigration laws
Navarro also pointed to increased immigration enforcement as a major factor in Trump's declining support among Latinos.

«"The way immigration enforcement is handled," Navarro said. "And as you can see, the Trump administration is trying very hard to keep immigration out of the headlines.".
«"The inhumanity that still happens and the persecution of Latinos still happens, it just doesn't make the headlines," she continued.
A UnidosUS poll found that increased immigration enforcement is the second-most important factor influencing Latinos' opinions of Trump, cited by 33 percent of respondents.
Green Card Policy
Navarro, in particular, criticized the Trump administration's policy that green card applicants must apply for permanent residence from their home country rather than adjust their status in the United States.
«"What they've done by ordering that people eligible for legal permanent residency cannot change their status in the country and are forced to return to their home country is cruel," Navarro said. "It means family separation. It means suffering.".
Criticism of Navarro began even before Trump's victory in the 2024 election. In the issue The View program On November 11, 2024, she said: "Listen, America, those of you who voted for Trump, this is what you wanted. This is what you voted for. You fooled yourselves, and you're about to find out.".
She also expressed her dissatisfaction with some Latino communities. In a previous episode of the podcast "The View: Behind the Table," Navarro stated that she was "furious" with "Venezuelans and Cubans in Miami" who support Trump.
