The 68-year-old coach said, "He's been here for most of the offseason, if not the entire offseason. He's been here, so it's good to have him back with us. He went through mandatory training camp and did very well there. It's good to see him back. He's very happy. You won't see any of the distractions of a wedding… when I got married, my wife did everything herself, so I just followed her lead.".
Kelce is entering his 14th season. He previously thanked his fiancée, Swift, for convincing him to reconsider his retirement and give her another chance. The 36-year-old discussed the matter on The Pat McAfee Show. The Chiefs tight end explained that he and his fiancée "share the same love for what we do.".
Kelsey acknowledged that Swift's stellar work ethic and unwavering passion for her career inspired him to give his own career another go. The 36-year-old singer also exclaimed, "Also, knowing that I'm at a point where I'm trying to figure out what the future holds, things like that definitely motivate me to say, you know what, I'm not giving up either. I still have some ideas in my head. I still have the energy to, you know, play this game.".
