We already told the amusing story of Prince renting Carlos Boozer's Los Angeles mansion. As far as we understand, Boozer rented it to Prince, expecting a simple rental situation, or at least what usually happens with a mansion.
But Prince always did things his own way.
This video explains the whole situation perfectly. Boozer's realtor kept telling him someone wanted to rent the apartment, but he wasn't interested.
Well, until it reached $95,000 a month. When he found out it was Prince, he naturally thought it was pretty cool.
At least until he returned home to rehabilitate from his injury.
Prince, as always, redid the entire mansion in purple and black tones and placed his famous logo on the main gate.
Boozer was unhappy with the whole thing, but Prince wrote him a check for $500,000 as compensation for the inconvenience and restored the house to its former glory before the lease expired.
We didn't know that since Prince lived there, property values had skyrocketed.
How much? $3.8 million, that's how much. Add to that the $500,000 Prince gave him, and that's $5.3 million Boozer got back after renting out his house to Prince.
No wonder he later said, "That shorty is one hell of a guy.".
