Former participant of the show American Idol Antonella Barba She found herself in the spotlight again, but for very unpleasant reasons, although this time she was lucky.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the 38-year-old woman admitted to violating her parole after the results of a standard drug test came back inconclusive.
Barba reportedly reported to the probation office in Camden, New Jersey, on Monday, May 5, for a routine check-up and urine test.
Police said she appeared to be stalling for time before the test and eventually admitted to recently smoking marijuana, technically violating her release condition prohibiting drug use.
The reality TV star rose to fame with Season 6 American Idol , is under supervised release following a federal drug trafficking conviction.
According to official records, she was arrested in 2018 and convicted in 2019 of possession with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl. After nearly three years in prison, she was released in October 2021 but has been under federal supervised release since then.

Instead of insisting on punishment, probation officers recommended another course of action.
Police said her current mental health treatment plan, which includes counseling and coping tools, would be sufficient to help her cope with what they called situational stress.
