Sydney Sweeney is known for making waves with her character Cassie in the TV series "Euphoria"« . She's also known for her striking looks in unique little black dresses and other red carpet ensembles, as well as for producing her own projects, sometimes achieving great box office success. But you might be surprised to learn that in her free time, she's a sporty girl who loves to tinker with her vintage Bronco SUV. At least, her co-stars do. «"Euphoria"» were surprised to learn about this.
Sweeney was promoting her series "Garage Seed" when she made this confession related to "« "Euphoria"» . She revealed that she spent entire weekends between filming fixing up her vintage cars, and sometimes even brought them to the HBO set in her free time. In an interview with ET, she said her castmates were very surprised to learn this fact:
If people know about it, they'll ask, "Can you fix cars?" After Euphoria, if we finished filming on a weekend or I had a day off, I'd go to the garage and work on my Bronco. And when I came to work the next day, they'd ask, "What were you doing?" And I'd say, "Oh, I was in the garage." And they'd be just confused. And then I'd show up on set in my cars and fix them at base camp. They'd ask, "What's Sydney doing?"«
Driving has always been an important part of her life. She's incredibly enthusiastic about any car with a manual transmission, even just "practice driving" on the Los Angeles freeways. The father of one of her childhood friends, Rod Emory, gave her an official garage to work in, and it all started from there. Although, she doesn't get out in her 1969 Ford Bronco as often as she'd like, even after converting the original manual transmission to an automatic to cope with traffic.
It was so sad. I love driving a stick shift. There's nothing better than the feeling of being in control. But with a heavy car like a 1969 Ford Bronco, driving through the hills of Los Angeles and having drivers who like to drive right behind you, I wanted it to be my daily driver. [But] the car is so heavy that you roll back a second before takeoff, and people just don't understand it. And sitting in traffic on the 405 is a real workout.
Sydney Sweeney has always been interested in cars, and when TV series "Euphoria"« After her first paycheck, she bought herself a "luxury car"—a 2019 Range Rover. In an interview with Vanity Fair, she revealed that she has different "dream cars" depending on where she is and what she's doing.
I have different dream cars for different parts of the world. If I ever live in Hawaii, I'd love to own this little Fiat Jolly convertible. And since my family loved our old Land Cruiser, but my little brother unfortunately drove it to the point of total obsolescence, I want to find an old Land Cruiser from the '70s and give it to them.
She has plenty of time. At 28, she's just starting out in Hollywood, though Sweeney's net worth is already impressive. The third and final season of the show also recently wrapped. «Euphoria» (with Zendaya's ending for Rue causing a mixed reaction among viewers). Her next projects will be «Gundam» , the filming of which is already underway, and «The Maid's Secret» . I wonder what kind of cars she drove for these roles?
