Yung Miami recently took part in a YouTube show. Funky Fridays former NFL player Cam Newton and told a funny story about trying to get Drake to record a song when he was in the midst of a feud with Kendrick Lamar and Metro Boomin in 2024.
«I have a song called „Take Me to Chanel,“ and I was trying to get him to be on it,» she recalled. «I remember DMing him, but it was at a time when he was going through all these things. And when people are going through hard times, I get it, I get it… But I DMed him, „Drake, I think you’d sound good on „Take Me to Chanel.“ He just loved that message, like, come on, don’t do it! Drake, don’t do it now, because I was right there when you called me! But no, I agree with Drake, I get it.“.

She then added that she was delighted with ICEMAN and Drake's return to the forefront of rap. "I'm so stoked. I love Drake," she began, before explaining why. "He's so special that his music is like, 'You have to know to understand.' He'll say something, and it'll make him—he's smart. And I just love how he does his interludes. He'll take a soundbite and blow it up, and he'll show you love. It's just little things. And he always has something like that. You could put Drake on at prom, at any event, and you'd feel good.".
Young Miami and her former City Girls bandmate, JT, contributed vocals to the Toronto rapper's 2018 hit "In My Feelings," which spent 10 weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. She also spoke about how it helped launch their careers. "It was a big break for City Girls," she said. "I'll never forget that phone call where they said, 'Drake wants you on his album.' It was like April Fools' Day. It had to be a joke, but we were like, 'No, you have to come to the studio, we have to play the record.' We pressed play, and Drake said our names.".
