ImGist - I Am the Essence

Victoria Beckham, 52, explains how she learned to embrace aging.

Victoria Beckham began a new, refreshing stage in her life.

The former Spice Girl and fashion designer, 52, says she has learned to "accept" her appearance after decades of self-criticism.

«I spent most of my life feeling like I wasn’t good enough and I didn’t like the way I looked,» the 52-year-old admitted in an interview with the British The Times newspaper on Wednesday, May 27. "I think the best thing about getting older is that I now accept my appearance for what it is. Honestly, it's better than the alternative.".

«"I also don't think you should give up just because you're 50," added Victoria, who previously spoke candidly about her past eating disorder in a Netflix documentary of the same name, which will be released in 2025. "That doesn't mean you have to compromise. You can still look good.".

A fashion and beauty entrepreneur who has children with her husband David BeckhamBrooklyn (27 years old), Romeo (23 years old), Cruz (21 years old) and Harper (14 years old) also shared her opinion on the positioning of cosmetic products as «anti-aging».

Calling it a "successful marketing ploy," she added, "I don't believe any topical product can stop the aging process, right? Unless I'm misunderstanding something. So I find it quite negative.".

«"I'm not changing anything about my training now," Victoria continued. "In fact, I train more than I did in my 20s and 30s. Age doesn't mean your abilities are limited. You can achieve greater heights with age.".

In April 2024, the singer shared her reflections on turning 50 in an Instagram caption. "I feel incredibly blessed to have reached this milestone," she wrote. "Happy, but also successful, and deeply fulfilled. Not only about where I am as a woman, but also about how far my fashion and beauty brands have come.".
