EXCLUSIVE: Pernel Media has expanded its franchise. «Rise and Fall» , dedicating a new study to one of the greatest empires of all time – Rome.
The popular documentary series will tell the epic 1,200-year history of the empire in a single, uninterrupted narrative, from the founding kings to the fall of the West in 476 CE. The series is built on a single central thesis: Rome never truly ceased to exist. Its laws, languages, architecture, and political institutions directly underpin the world we live in today, and the series will combine on-site archaeological footage with historical reconstructions created using artificial intelligence to prove this thesis. Eve Macdonald, Samir Aunallah, and Alexandre Mariottin contributed to the series.

Pernel franchise «Rise and Fall» For the French channel RMC Découverte, the series is currently dedicated to the Mayans, Incas and Aztecs and has been sold to more than 100 countries, including Nat Geo and Disney+ in various territories.

The Rise and Fall of Rome« produced by the French company RMC Découverte, directed by Vanessa Ponte ( «The Real War of Thrones» , 8 seasons), Anne Viry-Babel ( «"Pharaohs at War ») and Marina Boyenval ( «The Lost Cities of Genghis Khan» ). Pernel Media is currently in negotiations with numerous international broadcasting partners.
