The girlfriend of the murdered actor James Handy, known based on the film "Top Gun: Maverick", spoke out after her son was accused of murdering her boyfriend.
Michael Gledhill, 44, who lived with his mother in the Tarzana, Los Angeles, home where the murder allegedly occurred, was arrested in connection with Handy's death, Los Angeles police said.
Wendy Gledhill gave an interview to the newspaper California Post after the arrest of his son.
«"I'm just trying to take one day at a time, one minute at a time," Wendy told the newspaper. "I loved James and my son. I still can't believe it.".
In a press release, police said a man called 911 and said, "I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin.".
According to the police department, Gledhill allegedly flagged down officers arriving at the scene and told them he was the one they were looking for.

Arriving at the scene, police found Handy unconscious and stabbed in the courtyard. He died at the hospital.
Gledhill was arrested and charged with murder, according to the Los Angeles police.
Handy, 81, had a long acting career in both film and television. He starred in films "Top Gun: Maverick", "Jumanji"« , «Arachnophobia» , «"Invulnerable"» , «Logan» и «NYPD Blue» , as well as in many others.
