Daniel Radcliffe's son has started recognizing his father on TV, but he still doesn't understand why millions of other people recognize him too.
In a new interview with PEOPLE magazine, the actor shared a funny anecdote about his parenting relationship while discussing his Broadway performances in the play "Every Brilliant Thing"« . Radcliffe said his three-year-old son recently saw him in an advertisement for a play when Radcliffe had just left the room.
The child recognized him as "daddy," but that moment didn't mean he understood the acting, fame, or career that made Radcliffe famous.

Ironically, Radcliffe himself became famous as a child. He spent years playing Harry Potter in one of the world's most recognizable film franchises, but at home, his son still knows him primarily as "Dad.".

Radcliffe and his longtime partner, actress Erin Darke, welcomed their son in April 2023 and are keeping his name a secret.
In an interview with PEOPLE magazine, Radcliffe said he wants to shield his son from thoughts of fame for as long as possible.

The production's official website states that it was nominated for Tony Awards for Best Revival of a Play and Best Actor in a Play (Radcliffe). It concluded its run on May 24.
