ImGist - I Am the Essence

One guy turned every president into a "mullet-haired tough guy," and the footage is impressive.

Like it or not, we've entered the age of artificial intelligence, and while it may be terrifying for some, and there are ethical issues to consider, one Florida guy thinks it's a great way to make people laugh. Cam Harless, host of The Mad Ones podcast, used AI to create portraits of all the US presidents looking "cool" with a mullet, and the results are hilarious.

The mullet is an infamous haircut dubbed "business in the front, party in the back." The term "mullet" is believed to have been coined by the rap-punk-funk group Beastie Boys in 1994.

While the concept of "cool" is subjective, Harless seems to think it means looking like a cross between Dog the Bounty Hunter and Kenny Powers from Eastbound and Down.

How he created them and why they went viral.

Harless created the photos using Midjourney, an app that generates images based on text descriptions. "I love creating art with AI," Harless told Newsweek. "Often, I'll come up with an idea, create an image, and then choose the one that makes me laugh the most to post on Twitter and ask people to guess my idea.".

«"The idea of Biden with a mullet made me laugh, so I tried to make a picture of him and Trump together, and that led to a whole list of presidents," he continued.

Harless used AI to create photos of all 46 presidents with mullets and shared them on X, and the response was overwhelming. His first photo of Joe Biden with a mullet has garnered nearly 75,000 likes, and that number continues to grow.
