On Saturday, June 6, the 54-year-old actor, known for his role in the TV series «Beverly Hills, 90210» , posted on Instagram to celebrate 14-year-old Georgia's high school graduation.
«"Congratulations, Georgia!" the proud mom wrote next to a photo of her daughter accepting a sunflower as she walked across the stage in a pink dress and black sweater.
«"You've graduated from high school and survived an incredibly challenging year," Gayheart continued. "I'm incredibly proud of you—your resilience, tenacity, and grace are on full display. Welcome to high school—I have no doubt you're ready.".
Gayheart also praised her daughter for winning the Most Valuable Player award in beach volleyball, then concluded the post with, "Bravo, congratulations, and I love you so much ♥️.".
Many of Gayheart and Dayna's famous friends wished Georgia well in the comments section of the post, including star TV series "Grey's Anatomy"« Ellen Pompeo, who wrote: "Congratulations, Georgia! Well done... your mom's words are so spot on!"«

Dane, with whom Gayheart has Georgia and her eldest daughter, Billie, 16, revealed in a statement to PEOPLE magazine in April 2025 that he had been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
«"I am grateful to my loving family for being with me in this new phase," he said at the time.
Star of the series «"Euphoria"» died on February 19. His family told PEOPLE in a statement that he spent his "final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife, and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world.".

In March, Gayheart posted a tribute to the late actor on Instagram, writing that she was "speechless" after his death.
«"There are no words. All our love forever—your girls ❤️🩹❤️," she wrote in the caption, referring to herself and her two daughters.
In her post, she shared a collection of photos from over the years, including several of herself and Dane together, numerous childhood photos of their daughters, and several previously unseen family photos.

In an interview Variety On March 11, Gayheart also revealed that she and her daughters received tremendous support after the actor's death, and it was "difficult" for her to process.
She and Dane, who married in 2003, separated in 2018, but Gayheart withdrew her divorce filing in March 2025 and remained a key caregiver for the actor during his battle with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis).
«"I just want to thank everyone for the kindness they've shown us over the past few years. It's been challenging, but it's been incredibly rewarding, and people have been so kind to me," Gayheart told the publication. Variety . "They've been supporting me and the girls for the last two weeks, and I don't think they're going anywhere. I think they're in it for the long haul. Hollywood has a bad reputation. It makes me a little angry because we have a wonderful community of people, and I'm so grateful for them.".
