Movie "« Obsession »Focus Features' "The Dark Knight" has officially become the company's highest-grossing film of all time, with the Carrie Barker-directed horror-romance surpassing $224.7 million worldwide.
The film has already become Focus' highest-grossing film at the US box office on May 31.

Movie «"Obsession »" surpassed Focus's previous record for worldwide box office receipts - «Downton Abbey» 2019 ($194.6 million worldwide), as well as all the other films that could have been given stars, such as, «London Has Fallen» ($202 million worldwide, but Focus handled only domestic sales, which amounted to $62.5 million, the rest was foreign sales, which were handled by Lionsgate), as well as the Oscar-winning USA Films «Traffic» ($207.5 million worldwide—though in Focus's library, this film is from previous management and the previous label, Universal Classic, so it doesn't count. Movie «Obsession» delivered a stunning performance, grossing $25.6 million in its fourth weekend at the US box office (-7%), marking the biggest fourth weekend in horror film history, beating «"The Blair Witch Project"» 1999, which grossed $24.3 million. Overseas, the film grossed $17.7 million in its fourth weekend ($13.8 million in Universal territories), and its worldwide weekend total amounted to 43.8 million dollars on 6,825 screens in 57 countries. Overall, the film grossed $152.1 million domestically and $72.6 million internationally ($56.5 million in Universal markets).
«Obsession» — isn't the only movie breaking records this weekend: «"Behind the Scenes »" from A24 became the studio's highest-grossing film worldwide, and «"Michael"» Lionsgate's (with overseas distribution from Uni) is the studio's highest-grossing film of all time, grossing $888 million.

In the UK and Ireland, the weekend's gross was $2.6 million, bringing the total to $13.8 million, higher than that of the film "« Away »" at the same stage. «Obsession» showed remarkable growth at the box office this weekend, showing the best result among all leading films. Obsession It already ranks as the 8th highest-grossing horror film of all time in the MPA market.
