Season 8 of "Love Island USA" has achieved the highest opening weekend viewership for an original series on the Peacock platform.
According to NBCUniversal, the season, which premiered on June 2 and has aired three episodes so far, has been watched for a total of 824 million minutes. That's 741 million minutes more than the original three-day viewership figure for Season 7, which debuted in 2025 and was a huge hit for Peacock in its own right, and surpasses the three-day viewership figure of any series ever to debut on Peacock.

Using standard viewing metrics used by Netflix and some other platforms, Love Island USA season 8 has received approximately 3.7 million views—that's the result of dividing the total streaming time of 824 million minutes by the 224 minutes of content currently available.
Interestingly, and perhaps because Love Island USA is a show watched on a schedule, NBCUniversal also reports that 231,000 viewers for Season 8 came from phones and tablets, the highest mobile usage of any Peacock original series since its launch. Unsurprisingly, the show has become a top topic of conversation on social media, with video views on NBCUniversal's social media channels surpassing 43 million on June 2 alone.
Love Island USA is hosted by Ariana Madics and narrated by Iain Stirling. The series is produced by ITV America in association with Lifted Entertainment and Motion Entertainment (a division of WPP Media) and distributed by ITV Studios.
