Following Taylor Swift and Bad Bunny, Tayla becomes the latest Grammy Award winner to take part in the creation of cartoon "Toy Story 5". Like Bad Bunny, she voices a character in a film, but only in a certain part of the world.
It was announced on Disney Africa's Instagram account that Tayla will play the role of an inflatable flamingo in the sub-Saharan African version of the film, which will be shown in select African countries, including Tayla's home country of South Africa.
In a YouTube video where she records her part, Tayla says about participating in the franchise: «I just couldn’t believe that I even got this offer. ... I grew up on cartoon "Toy Story" »"It's such a big movie in our family. My parents adore it, my whole family loves it. … So the fact that we can now watch it and hear a little bit of my voice is just incredible.".
«"I remember watching that cartoon as a kid and trying to peek through the door to see if my toys were moving," she recalls.
Meanwhile, Taylor wrote the song "I Knew It, I Knew You" for the soundtrack, and Bad Bunny will voice a character named Pizza in sunglasses.
