Sydney Towle is wrapping up a busy week after returning home from Miami Swimsuit Week.
The 26-year-old influencer showcased swimwear designed for women after cancer treatment at The Chemo Club x Post Swim show on Thursday, May 28. Thole, who was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare type of bile duct cancer, at 23, joined three other women on the runway who are undergoing or have undergone cancer treatment.
Participating in Swim Week came just over a week after Towle received devastating news from her oncologist. As she explained in a video posted to her TikTok page on May 19, the doctor said he was no longer prepared to treat her cancer and strongly recommended she transition to palliative care, which she declined. She has since switched to a different specialist.

After returning from Miami, the content creator posted a video on TikTok sharing her impressions of the trip, calling it "the best experience." Towle told her million followers that she was very excited about the trip, even though it wasn't easy due to some discomfort.
«"I didn't show it because I was trying to enjoy every minute of the week, but I was in a lot of pain and I still feel really sick," she said in a TikTok video posted on Sunday, May 31.
Towle said she plans to return to the emergency room and that her mother will soon come visit and help her. "If you see the video of me in the hospital, it's simply because sometimes when I'm in pain, I feel safer there," she clarified later in the video.
The social media star addressed those who might be skeptical about her decision to travel to Miami, adding, "Whether I went or not, I would have been in pain and nausea. That's my current state.".

She became emotional as she spoke of the value of such significant events, even if they come with "pain and the need to overcome difficulties." Through tears, Towle described Swim Week as a dream come true.
«"I don't want to stop doing what I love," she continued. "I just want to have fun with my friends, and I've been able to do that, and that's all I could have ever dreamed of. So I'm very grateful.".
