EXCLUSIVE: David Harbour ( «DTF St. Louis» ) and Gaby Hoffmann ( «Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere »") signed contracts for the leading roles in the film «"Small"» , a dark comedy that will mark Alex Kavutsky's directorial debut and reunite the duo from Weapons groups - Zach Cregger and Roy Lee.
Character details are being kept under wraps. The film, financed by Alex Lebovici's Hammerstone Studios, was a reunion with Cragger and Lee after «"Varvara"» . The plot centers on a child's sudden behavioral change, which threatens to destroy an ideal family. Filming is scheduled for this month in Los Angeles, taking advantage of California's tax incentives.

The film's script was written by Kavutsky, and other producers include Chris McEwan ( «Love, Simon» ), Amanda Phillips and Melina Torres of Soto Productions ( «"Winner"» , «Assistant» ). Ibrahim Mohammed of Script 2 Screen will serve as executive producer and co-financer of the film alongside Chase Vigarie, with First Take, David Goldman, Michael Lerner, and Karina Manashil serving as additional executive producers. Legal support for the production is being handled by Sacker Entertainment Law.
For Cregger, a founding member and writer of the New York comedy troupe The Whitest Kids U' Know, song Little One marks a return to the roots.
Harbour recently starred alongside Jason Bateman and Linda Cardellini in another dark comedy, the critically acclaimed HBO series «DTF St. Louis» , and last night won the Gotham TV Award for Supporting Actor. The Steven Conrad-created series dominated the evening, taking home two awards, including Best Limited or Anthology Series.
Earlier this year, Harbour voiced a character in Sony's hit animated film «"Goat"» , which grossed over $194 million worldwide before ending its five-season run.« Very Stranger Things» . He has a busy schedule of projects ahead of him, and December will be especially busy with the release of Universal's films.« Cruel Night 2"» and Disney/Marvel «Avengers: Doomsday» , where he will reprise his role as Alexei Shostakov, aka the Red Guardian. Other upcoming projects include «John Rambo» from Lionsgate starring Noah Centineo, a crime thriller starring Courteney Cox «"Evil genius"» and horror thriller «A Head Full of Ghosts» from the duo of Severin Fiala and Veronika Franz. Harbour is represented by WME and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.
Known for projects such as «Transparent» и «"C'mon C'mon"» , Hoffmann recently starred in the Netflix thriller «Eric» alongside Benedict Cumberbatch and in the Springsteen biopic "« Deliver Me from Nowhere »" from 20th Street Films, where she co-starred with Jeremy Allen White. She can be seen in films in the near future. «Deep Cuts» from A24 and Scott Cooper's thriller «Time Out» on Netflix starring Adam Sandler.
