According to Deadline, David Harbour and Gaby Hoffman have officially signed on to star in "Baby," a dark comedy that will mark Alex Kavutsky's directorial debut. Kavutsky also wrote the screenplay.
The story centers on a seemingly perfect family whose life begins to unravel after a sudden and disturbing change in their child's behavior. Plot details and character information are currently being kept under wraps. Filming is scheduled to begin this month in Los Angeles, with support from California's tax credit program.
One of the reasons the project is generating interest is the involvement of producers Zach Cregger and Roy Lee. They recently collaborated on the film "Gun," and previously worked together on the critically acclaimed horror hit "Barbarian.".
Financing is coming from Hammerstone Studios, which is reuniting with Cregger and Lee following their previous success.
