An actor who previously starred in the series «How I Met Your Mother, was sentenced to 32 years to life in prison for attempting to murder his ex-girlfriend.
According to ABC7, Nick Pascual was previously convicted of first-degree burglary of an inhabited dwelling committed in the presence of another person causing injury to a spouse, domestic partner, fiancé/fiancée, boyfriend, girlfriend, or parent of a child.
The publication later reported that on Tuesday, June 2, Pascual was sentenced to 32 years to life in prison.
Prosecutors accused Pascual of entering the Los Angeles home of Allie Shehorn, a Hollywood makeup artist, in May 2024 and "causing the victim serious bodily injury in a domestic violence setting.".
As reported Los Angeles Times newspaper , Shehorn was found with more than 20 stab wounds, lying in a pool of her own blood.
According to the newspaper, before the knife attack, Shehorn filed for a protective order against Pascual, accusing him of domestic violence.
According to ABC, Shehorn testified during Pascual's trial, appearing in court with visible scars.
She told the court that before the stabbing, she had a heated argument with Pascual, which led to their separation.
«"I locked the door, and he started punching holes in it and broke it down," she said, according to ABC. "I just ran to the bathroom because I thought there was another lock on that door.".

Pascual was arrested after the first incident and released from jail on $50,000 bail five days before he stabbed Shehorn.
Shehorn is an experienced makeup artist who has worked on films «Mean Girls» , «Rebel Moon» и «"Babylon"» .
Pascual has appeared in several television shows, including one episode of the series «How I Met Your Mother.
