Breakthrough Year Later: Alfie Williams Signs with Gersh (EXCLUSIVE)

Alfie Williams, the British child actor who rose to fame last year with his leading role in the film 28 Years Later, has signed a contract with an American agency.

After what the Gersh agency called "an extremely competitive situation involving all the major agencies," it signed the 15-year-old to a global representation contract.

Williams became one of the most talked-about young actors of 2025 after his highly acclaimed performance in 28 Years Later, the long-awaited revival of Danny Boyle's popular zombie franchise, released nearly a quarter-century after the genre-defining original 28 Days Later. As Spike, a young boy battling the infected in post-apocalyptic Britain, he stars alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer, and Ralph Fiennes.

The young actor returned to his role in the quickly released sequel, "28 Years Later: Temple of Bones," where Spike joins Jack O'Connell's murderous cult of "Jimmy." The film, this time directed by Nia DaCosta, was released in early 2026.

For his work in 28 Years On and Temple of Bones, Williams was included in the magazine's list of promising British actors. Variety , which was presented at the Newport Beach Film Festival. He was also included on the Forbes "30 Under 30" list.

Williams will next be seen starring in the supernatural thriller Banquet, opposite Megan Fahey, directed by Halder Gaztel-Urrutia, who directed the Platform franchise film immediately after Temple of Bones.

At the beginning of the year in an interview Variety Williams said he'd like to try his hand at another genre, "doing a sci-fi movie or a Western," mentioning "Fallout" and "The Boys.".

Williams remains signed to London-based agency Independent Talent Group.
