Constance Zimmer says she had an emotional reaction to the TV series «"Love Story", Directed by Ryan Murphy, it chronicles the real-life relationship between John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette.
The Emmy-nominated actress played Anne Messina Freeman, the mother of Bessette and her sister Lauren, who died along with Kennedy in a plane crash on July 16, 1999, en route to Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts.
«"Watching the show gave me a whole new sense of grief that I experienced and still experience every day," Zimmer said in an interview. The Hollywood Reporter, published on Thursday. "I cried again over the devastating loss of my mother. It was cathartic for me to observe myself, process my grief, and allow myself to feel it all.".

Zimmer's mother, Ingrid Mueller, died in November, and she has spoken openly about the pain she endured.
«"The sudden loss of my mother has left me with a grief I've never experienced before, and I've been through a lot of grief," Zimmer wrote on social media a few days later.
She added: "I still can't comprehend how she's gone. I feel her spirit all around me, in the trembling voices and messages from her friends, the ones she loved and touched. We had plans, we had so many conversations, so much life ahead of us. It's only been three days, and I already miss her so much.".
On Mother's Day, Zimmer shared a photo of the two of them together.
«Well, the day I was so afraid of has finally arrived,» the actress wrote. series "UnREAL"« . "It's only been six months, and I miss you so much, Mom. I really didn't think I'd be living without you by my side. I've called and texted you so many times. It's weird that you're not here to have coffee with us and celebrate our motherhood. I talk to you every day, but it's not the same. Nothing's the same.".
In the series, Freeman grapples with her grief after the devastating loss of two daughters just entering adulthood. The caring mother wants to know how such a tragedy could have happened and demands answers.

«"That which film "Love Story"« "It was wonderful to be a part of it, and it was incredibly sad, but it was also a relief to those who didn't know them, to those who did, and to all of us who watched their story unfold in real time," Zimmer said.
A series based on Elizabeth Beller's 2024 book «Once Upon a Time: The Fascinating Life of Carolyn Bessette Kennedy» , aired in February and March. It immediately sparked controversy and criticism from key figures, including Kennedy's former girlfriend, Daryl Hannah, and Caroline Kennedy's son, Jack Schlossberg.
