Red carpet American Music Awards treated viewers to a vibrant mix of glamour, bold outfits, and high-profile events that heralded the biggest music night of the year. From content creators to musicians and athletes, the red carpet was heated, the laughter was loud, and the fun was just beginning.
The Blast journalists were on the red carpet, chatting with celebrities, reality TV stars and musicians as they entered MGM Grand Garden Arena, located in MGM Grand on Las Vegas -Strip.
Stars hit the red carpet ahead of the AMAs in Las Vegas.
On Monday afternoon, the stars were out in full force, dressed up, ready to mingle and have fun at the AMAs (Account Awards). The red carpet was packed with reality stars, musicians, content creators, influencers, athletes, and more. Plenty of familiar faces walked the red carpet, posing for photos, answering media questions, and generally having a good time before heading to the MGM Grand Garden Arena to find out who would receive the award.
Among those who appeared on the red carpet were Jesse Draper from "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives," Marciano Brunette from "Vanderpump Villa," Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles, John and Lisa Barlow from "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City," rapper Ludacris, UFC fighter Merab Dvalishvili, singer, model and actress Teyana Taylor, singer Jason Derulo and many more.
The Blast editorial team had the opportunity to chat with several celebrities as they walked the red carpet to the arena entrance. Some weren't able to stop for interviews, while others slipped past unnoticed, but we managed to capture the attention of several well-known and beloved celebrities.
UFC fighter Merab Dvalishvili was happy to chat with everyone.
Merab, well known to UFC fans, was happy to chat with everyone. He wasn't shy about acting out skits or discussing current trends, and seemed to genuinely enjoy his time on the red carpet.
When The Blast asked him what might surprise his fans, he paused briefly before replying that he does "crazy things" that are "out of this world," so perhaps there's little that would shock them.
«"Maybe if I show off my culinary skills, they'll be shocked because I'm a good cook," he said. He also revealed that his next fight will be around August or September, so fans can prepare to see him in action again.
When asked what he enjoyed most about the AMAs, he said he really enjoyed the "moments" on the red carpet and meeting some of his friends, including Steve Aoki.
Musician Kelsey Davis was thrilled to be "in the same room" with the pop star.
Kelsey Davis, whose Instagram bio reads, "Actress | Artist | Psychic Weirdo," attracted a lot of attention with her stunning glamorous look. She happily sat down with The Blast to share what she enjoyed most about the AMAs.
«"I'm absolutely thrilled to be in the same room with Lady Gaga, I'm absolutely thrilled," she told The Blast. "I adore her.".
She also spoke about her plans, stating that all of her content will be posted on streaming services.
«"So, I hope you'll see me on TV," she said. "It's a really important event, and I'm excited to see that gap being bridged, if that's understandable.".
When the topic of Vegas came up in the chat, she said she loves spooky things and enjoys the "unusual things that happen to unusual people" while visiting Sin City.
Johnny Orlando also stopped by to chat with The Blast.
Musician Johnny Orlando, who has nearly 6 million followers on Instagram alone, stopped briefly to chat with The Blast while walking the red carpet.
He said he was most looking forward to the musician Sombra's performance. He also shared that he'd "never spent more than 24 hours in Vegas," but noted that it was "nice and the weather was great.".
Orlando also told The Blast that he has an album coming out in a few weeks and then plans to go on tour.
The guests' arrival ceremony on the red carpet lasted more than 3 hours.
These are just a few of the many celebrities who walked the red carpet ahead of this year's AMAs. The energetic red carpet event lasted over three hours and gave media members a great opportunity to answer questions, take unique photos, and even have fun creating TikTok trends.
New Kids on the Block was a huge success, so much so that they didn't even show up for an interview with The Blast. However, Donnie Wahlberg stopped by for a photo and a quick chat. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, as well as Teyana Taylor and their adorable children, appeared on the red carpet at the end of the event and graciously posed for photos at their leisure.
