Cooper told his friend the broadcast was going "fine," and Cohen, 58, jokingly noted he had "hate in his eyes," a reference to President Donald Trump's attacks on Cooper's CNN colleague, Kaitlan Collins.

«"You!" Cohen exclaimed, trying to wipe the icing off Cooper's nose.

The host of the program Watch What Happens Live , who celebrated his own birthday the day before on Tuesday, June 2, has co-hosted CNN's New Year's Eve broadcast with Cooper since 2017. On Tuesday, Cohen wished his friend a happy birthday in an Instagram Stories post, and Cooper responded by calling him his "Gemini twin." The next special, titled Independence Eve Live featuring Cohen and Cooper, the episode will air July 3 on CNN.
