Cipriano told PEOPLE why Fowler is the "perfect" Grace and hinted at what's to come in season two.
The second season of the series «Off Campus» departs from the plot of Elle Kennedy's book series, but that doesn't mean Logan and Grace's romantic relationship will be absent.
On Thursday, May 28, Prime Video confirmed that the second season will focus on Dean and Ellie's romance, as described in Kennedy's book. «"Check"» , and the lead roles will be played by Stephen Kalin and Micah Abdallah, who previously played Garrett and Hannah, played by Belmont Cameli and Ella Bright.
The series departs from the narrative order established by Kennedy's books, where the romantic relationship between Logan and Grace was described in the second part, «"Error"» .
Ahead of the Season 2 news, star Antonio Cipriano spoke to PEOPLE about what he's looking forward to in the new episodes of Logan and how Grace will fit into everything.
«"I'm glad you don't see him in love in the first season," Cipriano, 26, says of Logan. "I think it's great that you get to know who he is as a person and the struggles he's going through, and when that happens, when you meet Grace, and when he does, she breaks down his walls, and you see that even more.".
He says he is "very excited" about the addition of Grace, whose role was announced days before the series premiere to be played by India Fowler.

«"The beauty of the first season is that you know all the contestants and you're rooting for them. So, no matter who fate chooses, you'll be thrilled. You'll be rooting for them to win the hearts of the audience," says Cipriano.
«"Obviously, we have Grace now, and that's really cool. So there will be a little bit of that in season two, and we'll just see how it all plays out.".
The Broadway star also shared his experience casting for the role of Grace. "I had the opportunity to read three amazing and completely different versions of Grace, and they were all incredible," he says.
«"India just brought something so… I don't know, she really was like something out of a book. It felt like I was talking to Grace.".
He points, in particular, to Fowler's "unusual character" as what made her the perfect choice to play the Briar freshman who catches Logan's eye.

«"When we were watching the videos back, some of the rehearsals that we did that day, [showrunners] Louise [Levy] or Gina [Fattore] said, 'That's cool because you can tell she has no idea what she's going to say next,' which is so Grace-esque, and it was just perfect.".
He continues about 22-year-old Fowler: "She's going to bring so much to the show. She's going to take it to the next level, and I'm really excited for the relationship between Logan and Grace to develop.".
«"It's perfect. She's exactly the person we need for this role," he jokes. "I'm thrilled.".
