The 28-year-old Arizona Cardinals punter married 26-year-old Alexandra Fliess at Lowndes Grove in Charleston, South Carolina, on Friday, May 22. The couple announced their wedding a week later in a joint Instagram post on Friday, May 29.
«"MY WIFE! ❤️," Gillikin wrote next to a wedding portrait of the newlyweds.

In the photo, the couple smiles for the camera, with Gillikin's arm around Fleece's waist. The professional footballer wore a classic black tuxedo, while his wife wore a strapless jacquard ball gown with a floral print and a corset bodice. The couple stood inside their seaside estate beneath a hanging chandelier and in front of an arched window overlooking tropical plants outside.
Several NFL players, including Jordan Stout of the New York Giants and Chad Ryland of the Arizona Cardinals, left comments. The Arizona Cardinals' official team page posted "Congratulations!!" and also posted wedding photos of the couple on Instagram with the caption "Congratulations to the Gillikins!🥂.".
A few days before Gillikin and Fleece's joint post, Fleece shared a collection of videos and photos from his big day. Among the highlights were the outdoor ceremony, where the couple's grandmothers served as flower girls, fresh seafood, and glasses of champagne.

Jillikin and Flis chose to marry in South Carolina because it's their "happy place," as stated on their wedding website. They shared with their guests, "A place filled with sunshine, charm, and so many special memories. It's where we found joy and connection with the world around us, and it means so much to us to share that with you all.".

Following the wedding ceremony, a party was held in the Hudson Room of the Uptown Social restaurant.
