The 31-year-old comedian and TikTok star proposed to his boyfriend, Jonathan Carson, in Acadia National Park in Maine. The couple shared photos of the moment in a joint Instagram post on Sunday, May 31.
In one photo, Porter kneels before 29-year-old Carson on a rocky cliff. Other shots show the couple kissing, Porter smiling, and his fiancée whispering in his ear. The final photo shows a close-up of Carson's ring.
«"Sounds good, 'forever' 🤍," the comedian wrote in the caption. Carson added in the comments: "MY HEART.".
The comments were also filled with well-wishes from friends, including Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, who wrote, "Love these congratulations ❤️." Kacey Musgraves said, "Gigi is so proud of you, honey.".
Porter and Carson lead Camp Counselors Podcast , which the show's official website describes as an "entertainment program" that "covers strange news stories, offers life advice, and highlights stories submitted by listeners to remind everyone that we all have a lot more in common than we think.".
Porter often shares moments from their relationship on her Instagram.
In honor of Carson's birthday on February 18, he posted a series of photos capturing some of their adventures together, including a Maid of the Mist cruise down Niagara Falls, volunteering at a food bank, and dining out.

In July 2025, Porter shared a photo of himself and Carson enjoying drinks on a restaurant's outdoor patio and joked in the caption, "I'm so crazy about my man even though we just had a fight an hour ago!"«
Carson also posts photos of Porter on his Instagram. In a humorous post in August 2025, he shared a carousel of images of the two of them recreating his parents' 1986 wedding photos at various locations at Disneyland in Florida.
Porter, who has 4.4 million TikTok followers, is known for sharing funny everyday scenes and stand-up routines on the platform. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE earlier this year, he revealed that he has a collection of over 50 wigs that help him bring various TikTok characters to life.
