Garcelle Beauvais has shed new light on her departure from reality show "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills"« , saying the decision came after months of feeling alienated from the show and concerns about what continuing to appear on it might cost her.
В on the air of the program "On a par with Mori Povich"« The actress and producer was asked a question that still haunts many Bravo fans: why did she leave after five seasons? Beauvais said the answer wasn't related to any one dramatic incident. Instead, she described a growing realization that the show no longer suited her current stage of life.
«"It was just time," Bove told Povich. "I played five seasons, and I felt like I had no more strength, and I couldn't do it anymore, frankly.".

According to Beauvais, this feeling developed gradually over the months leading up to the Season 14 reunion. While she said she had positive memories of her time on the franchise, she found herself no longer feeling the desire to act.
«"This feeling had been building gradually over the months leading up to the reunion," she explained. "I just stopped enjoying going to work. It stopped appealing to me.".
After leaving RHOBH She has shifted much of her attention to producing projects, including a successful franchise Black Girl Missing on Lifetime channel, as well as developing their own new television concepts.
During the conversation, Povich also asked if there was a specific moment when she realized she'd had enough. Bove acknowledged there was a line she ultimately refused to cross.
«"After the reunion, I actually left," she said. "I didn't know if I was actually leaving after the reunion, but there was a line I didn't want to cross anymore.".
The topic of personal boundaries came up repeatedly throughout the interview. Bove discussed her new project on Audible, titled "« Protecting my peace of mind… at any cost"» and how she learned to put her own well-being first after decades in the entertainment industry.
This philosophy appears to have directly influenced her decision to leave the reality show. During a game show segment, Povich presented a scenario in which a potentially compelling plot was rejected because it conflicted with personal values. Beauvais quickly defended her reputation.
«"You have to be honest about something," she said. "You can't sell your soul for this industry.".
When Povich asked if a longer involvement in the RHOBH , Bove gave perhaps the most frank answer of the entire interview.
«"I don't think so," she said of her participation in the show. "But I do think that if I had stayed longer than I had to, then yes, I would have stayed because I was hurting inside.".
