Heather McComb has embarked on a joyful new chapter in her life with actor Scott Michael Campbell.
The actress announced that she and Campbell married in Missoula, Montana, in a private ceremony surrounded by family and friends. InStyle reported that the ceremony took place outdoors in a garden, with McComb wearing a white lace dress and Campbell opting for a white jacket and black trousers.
McComb shared the news herself on Instagram, writing that she and Campbell were officially married "under God's command" in one of her favorite cities. In her post, she expressed gratitude, faith, and appreciation for the loved ones who came to celebrate with them.

McComb wrote that she and Campbell were married in a ceremony performed by @essence_says, whom she called her "beautiful sister," surrounded by the people they loved most.
PEOPLE reported that the wedding took place on Saturday, May 30. By intimate wedding standards, the wedding party was large: 13 friends from McComb's side and 12 groomsmen from Campbell's side.
Campbell also posted about the ceremony, calling the week "incredibly blessed" and thanking family and friends who shared in the joy of the occasion.

In her statement, McComb noted that Missoula wasn't a random wedding location. She called the Montana town one of their favorite spots, and the outdoor shoot added a personal and relaxed feel to the ceremony.
Photos from that day showed McComb in a lace dress with a long train and veil, while Campbell wore a white tuxedo-style jacket, black trousers and a black tie.
The wedding followed the couple's engagement in April 2025. McComb also announced the event in her Montana post, writing at the time that Campbell proposed by the river.
McComb was previously married to James Van Der Beek.
McComb was previously married to the star Dawson's Creek« James Van Der Beek. They married in 2003, separated in 2009, and finally divorced in 2010.
InStyle magazine reported that McComb and Van Der Beek met in the 1990s through McComb's sister, Jennifer McComb, who starred in the TV series "Dawson's Creek"« . Later, in 2010, Van Der Beek married Kimberly Van Der Beek, and they had six children.
Van Der Beek died on February 11, 2026, at the age of 48 after a battle with colon cancer. Following his death, McComb posted on Instagram, dedicated to their longtime bond and expressed her grief for Kimberly, their children, and his entire family.
