Dan Levy is talented in many ways, but passing his driver's license on the first try isn't one of them. So on Thursday night, Jimmy Kimmel immediately mocked him for how long it took him.
Levy appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" to promote his Netflix series "Big Mistakes," and during the interview, he noted that he doesn't drive in London because he "doesn't want to die." According to the actor and screenwriter, he doesn't have a very good driving record, so attempting to do so on the opposite side of the street would be even more terrifying.
«"The problem with my driving is that when I first got my driver's license in Canada, I failed the test 12 times," Levy admitted.
Kimmel immediately questioned the veracity of this claim, then joked that it would be "the most failures in history." Levy countered this idea, stating that he was sure at least one person had failed more times.
«"I don't think so!" Kimmel retorted. "I think Stevie Wonder got it on his seventh try!"»
Levi burst out laughing and then defensively explained how exactly the Canadian driver's license test works.
«"First of all, if someone is as terrified of taking a test as I was, you start to panic and freeze," he said. "And a driver's license test is not the place you want to be when you're feeling anxious and panicked. In Canada, we have a step-by-step system for obtaining a driver's license. You have to pass three different tests.".
