The June blues at the beginning of the month, when the Gotham Television Awards ceremony kicked off in New York City, were anything but gloomy. Among the winners and honorees were Chase Infinity, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kerry Washington, the series "I Love L.A.", and the film "Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette.".
In London Variety magazine launched the London edition of the Power of Women event, featuring Cynthia Erivo, Hudda Waddingham, and Emma Corrin, among other celebrities. Also in the UK, Steven Spielberg gathered the cast of his film Disclosure, including Josh O'Connor, Emily Blunt, and Colman Domingo, for the film's world premiere.
