Katie Holmes just demonstrated how to stylishly pair satin to create looks suitable for both day and night this season.
On Saturday, the actress walked the red carpet at the Tribeca Film Festival for the premiere of her new film,« Happy Hours» , the first part of the romantic trilogy, in which she stars alongside Joshua Jackson, also known for the series «Dawson's Creek» .
She accentuated the romantic atmosphere with a pale pink silk satin dress by Chloé. The dress is reminiscent of 1930s nightgowns, with details like a lace collar, high waist, and delicate puff sleeves. But Holmes gave the look a modern edge with her accessories, including gold-studded Chloé pumps and a rectangular white clutch.

After the premiere, Holmes wore another satin dress for a party at the Soho Grand Hotel. This time, she chose a soft pink slip dress by Magda Butrym with a deep V-neck, lace trim, a draped waist, and a long train. Instead of wearing the dress alone, Holmes chose to layer it with a white top and black leather pants. She completed the look with the same clutch she wore on the red carpet and ivory pointed-toe mules.
