Cassie Ventura fled the United States after testifying in the trial of Sean "Diddy" Combs last summer, according to documents obtained by Fox News Digital.
The singer, who testified for four days as a key witness in Diddy's sex crimes trial, filed a motion last month to move the trial's venue as part of his ongoing legal battle with former escort Clayton Howard.
Cassie, 39, was one of a handful of defendants in a lawsuit filed by Howard last year in which he alleged he was "sexually exploited, trafficked, and abused" by Diddy and his ex-girlfriend for 10 years.
In a motion filed May 1, Cassie argued that Howard's lawsuit should be moved from California courts to New York, where dozens of similar lawsuits against Diddy have already been filed.

«"Plaintiff resides in New Jersey and can easily travel to New York," the documents state. "Ms. Ventura does not reside in the United States, but she finds it more convenient to travel to New York than to California. Both defendant companies are registered in New York.".

«"As described above, many of the relevant events occurred in New York, and there are currently more than two dozen civil cases pending in New York federal courts related to Combs' crimes, many of which involve the same factual and legal issues as this case, and many more cases filed in New York state courts.".
She added: "As a result, the relevant witnesses likely reside in or near New York City. Taken together, these facts point to New York City as a more convenient and appropriate venue for this case. Therefore, Ms. Ventura respectfully requests that the Court transfer these claims pursuant to 28 U.S.C..".

In a separate statement, Cassie stated, "I am a citizen of the United States," and then added, "I am not a resident of the state of California.".
Cassie and Sean "Diddy" Combs met in 2006 and split in 2018.
«"I reside outside the United States," the documents read. "I do not intend to return to the United States.".
She added: "If the case goes to trial, it will be much more convenient to travel to New York, where my lawyers are located, than to California, where neither party to the case resides.".
Legal experts believe Cassie's pregnancy could influence the jury's decision in Diddy's case.
Cassie's representatives declined to comment when contacted by Fox News Digital.
The singer, known for the hit "Me & U," gave birth to her third child with husband Alex Fine in May 2025, nearly two weeks after giving key testimony against the disgraced Bad Boy Records founder during his sex crimes trial.
Cassie married Fine, Diddy's former personal trainer, in 2019. The couple also have two daughters: five-year-old Frankie and four-year-old Sunny.
Cassie has made several accusations in court, including that Diddy raped her in 2018 after she tried to break up with him.
In 2019, Cassie married Alex Fine, Diddy's former personal trainer. The U.S. Attorney's Office has released photographic evidence related to the alleged abuse Cassie Ventura suffered in the Southern District of New York.
Diddy's ex-girlfriend testified in May 2025 about the alleged abuse she suffered at the hands of the rapper. Cassie claimed she was physically abused and forced to participate in "sex games," during which Diddy forced her to have sex with a male escort in front of him.
She claimed to have undergone rehabilitation and trauma therapy in early 2023 after experiencing "horrible flashbacks" on the set of a music video.

Cassie also told the court that she expects to receive $10 million in compensation from the InterContinental Hotel, where Diddy attacked her in a hallway in 2016.
According to reports, on March 5, 2016, Diddy and Cassie had an altercation at a hotel that escalated into violence. Cassie previously testified that she tried to leave after Diddy gave her a black eye.

According to the singer and songwriter, Diddy attacked her when he reached the elevator lobby. Surveillance footage, shown to the jury and previously released in 2024, shows the rapper dragging Cassie down the hotel hallway.
The trial, which began on May 12, concluded on July 2, when the jury found Diddy not guilty of racketeering and sex trafficking. He was found guilty of two lesser charges of transporting people for the purpose of prostitution.

The rapper, known for his hit song "Last Night," was sentenced to more than four years in prison and is serving his sentence at FCI Fort Dix.
Diddy has been behind bars since his arrest on September 16, 2024, and is scheduled for release in February 2028.
