Cassie Ventura has quietly left the United States after settling legal disputes with Sean "Diddy" Combs and has no intention of returning.
In a court filing dated May 1, 2026, seen by Complex, the 39-year-old states: "I reside outside of the United States" and "I do not intend to return to the United States.".
The document also states that Ventura is a U.S. citizen but does not currently reside in California. Although TMZ reports that Ventura's current residence is unknown, her statement states that it would be easier for her to attend court hearings and participate in legal proceedings in New York, where her legal team is located, than in California.
The lawsuit stems from her ongoing California lawsuit brought by escort Clayton Howard, who claims Diddy and Ventura hired him for "sexual encounters" that allegedly resulted in him contracting a sexually transmitted disease. Howard also claims he fathered a child with Ventura, the pregnancy resulting from an abortion.

Howard is also named as one of seven escorts who cooperated with prosecutors in Diddy's criminal case, and claims he suffered physical and psychological abuse from what he describes as sexual assault.
Ventura reportedly moved overseas after receiving a total of approximately $30 million, including approximately $20 million from Sean "Diddy" Combs as part of a settlement for alleged abuse, as well as another approximately $10 million from the InterContinental Los Angeles Century Hotel after surveillance video surfaced showing Diddy beating her in a hallway.
In response to Howard's lawsuit, Cassie also claims that in 2013, after she first made accusations against Diddy, he sent her husband, Alex Fine, a text message: "I know your wife's story on 100% is true, and I'm sure you thought so too. I would have made accusations too, and I'm glad she got some justice!"«
The alleged message continued: "A lot of what I saw upset me deeply because the guy was out of his mind. But I knew she was in love and wouldn't leave, even though she was being beaten and chest-punched in hotel rooms, choked, and forced to do things I don't want to embarrass anyone. I'm so damn glad you saved her. … I'm glad she got what she probably didn't deserve.".
Last summer, when Ventura testified in Diddy's federal criminal trial, she was pregnant and living in New York. People magazine , On May 28, 2025, she gave birth to her third child, a boy, with her husband, Alex Fine—just two weeks after testifying.
