Love Island USA's Vasana Montgomery was fired for making offensive remarks in a viral video.

For the second year in a row the show Love Island USA eliminates a contestant for using a racist slur in a video that surfaced online. This season, ahead of the Season 8 premiere on Tuesday, June 2, Vasana Montgomery was eliminated.

A few days after the casting announcement, two videos surfaced showing Montgomery using the N-word. In one, filmed while playing a shooter game in an arcade, Montgomery says, "Knock knock, nigga.".

In the second video, Montgomery raps over 6ix9ine's verse from A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie's song "Swervin'.".

Both videos were uploaded to private accounts, so Peacock didn't detect them during the casting process. Once the videos went viral, Montgomery was kicked out of the Fiji villa.

Last season, Yulisa Escobar was eliminated from the show in the second episode after a video of her using the same slur during a podcast appearance went viral. Sierra Ortega was later also eliminated for using a racial slur against people of Asian descent.

Despite the incidents that have occurred, the show will premiere in just two days.

On the show Love Island USA , hosted by Ariana Madix and narrated by Iain Stirling, will release new episodes daily throughout the premiere week, with episodes released every day except Wednesday for the rest of the season.
