Mariska Hargitay, making her Broadway debut and replacing Daniel Radcliffe in the title role of the musical "« Every Brilliant Thing» , made quite a splash in its first week of operation: attendance at the Hudson Theatre amounted to 97% of capacity, and although the gross receipts last week amounted to $1,135,322 were down significantly from the previous week, when Radcliffe left the role, reaching a record-breaking total of over $2 million, a figure comparable to, if not higher than, Radcliffe's gross in his first weeks in the role.
Hargitay will remain on the show until Sunday, July 5. After that, Tracee Ellis Ross will take over.

A total of 40 Broadway productions have brought $37,314,104 for the week ending May 31, which is approximately 8% less than the previous week and approximately 17% less than the same time last year. Attendance was 320,908 people , which is 5% less than the previous week and 4% less than last year.
