The participants of the second season of the reality show Next Gen NYC revealed some secrets.
The reality show Next Gen NYC follows the children of famous Bravo stars as they strive to achieve their personal and professional dreams. The cast includes Ariana Biermann, as well as Gia, Brooks, and Riley Burruss. The trailer for season two hinted at plenty of drama, including the addition of a new cast member: Brooks Shields' daughter, Rowan Henchy.
The troupe spoke with Parade magazine, and Brooks recounted his experiences at circus school. When asked if he actually attended, he replied, "Oh, yeah. Yes.".
Brooks's co-stars on Next Gen NYC also hinted that his mother, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Meredith Marks, may have encouraged him to pursue this unique training. However, Brooks disagreed. "I wanted to go to a boot camp for artists. And it was an intensive program, similar to a circus boot camp.".
The designer, who launched a loungewear collection in December 2025, continued, "I was seven years old, so she kind of sent me to camp in the end, but I think it was a mutual decision." Meanwhile, Brooks maintained his circus skills.
«"I can do a lot of circus tricks. On canvas, on a pole, on a trapeze, a lyre, a flying trapeze, and on a cloud swing. Of course, it's been 10 years, but I think it's all thanks to my muscles... it's like skiing, riding a bike, you know?"»
However, regarding Next Gen NYC, Brooks decided to refrain from commenting. "I stopped reading the comments. It's really hurting me, you know?" he remarked.
