Olivia Rodrigo has once again commented on rumors about the tense relationship between her and Taylor Swift. .
The singer, known for her hit "Vampire," answered numerous questions about their relationship in a new interview published Friday.
During his speech at Popcast podcast The New York Times newspaper , dedicated to the promotion of her upcoming third album You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love , she was asked how she felt about facing the kind of public scrutiny she experienced after the March incident when she was photographed leaving a Paul McCartney concert in Los Angeles at the same time as Swift.
«"I don't know. I don't really delve into it," Rodrigo replied. "I think it's inevitable and self-evident. If I delved into every online investigation that got it right or wrong about my life or my relationships, I'd go crazy. I just don't have the time.".

Rodrigo confirmed the hypothesis of show co-host Joe Coscarelli, who suggested that she had developed a tolerance for rampant speculation about her personal life after her debut single, "Drivers License," caused quite a stir online.
«"I think it forced me to detach from what was happening," she said. "I had to detach myself to literally feel normal. It's just a crazy experience for everyone involved. I think I just had to learn to detach myself.".
She continued, "I think I'm succeeding at that now—I still try to distance myself from people who don't know every little detail of my life. I think that's necessary, otherwise you can go crazy.".
In another segment of the podcast, Rodrigo discussed her feelings about rumors of a possible "cooling" between her and Swift. "I don't know," she said. "I think I've tried not to let it upset me or make me sad. I'm just trying to move on. I don't think there's any point. It was so long ago. I don't think there's any point in dwelling on it.".
She added: "I just try to write songs that I love, and I try to be kind and supportive and compassionate to other people. And I've always tried to be like that. And at the end of the day, I think that's all you can do.".
Rodrigo has repeatedly cited Swift as one of her biggest inspirations, and the "Love Story" singer publicly supported her in the lead-up to the release of her first album. Sour . Rodrigo used elements from Swift's 2017 song "New Year's Day" in the album's fourth song, "1 Step Forward, 3 Steps Back," and credited Swift and the song's co-writer, Jack Antonoff, as composers.

Rodrigo later credited Swift and Antonoff as songwriters for the album's second single, "Deja Vu," due to its similarities to Swift's 2019 song "Cruel Summer." She also added Annie Clark, aka St. Vincent, as a composer for her contributions to "Cruel Summer." Additionally, Rodrigo later credited Hayley Williams and Josh Farro as writers for "Good 4 U" due to its similarities to Paramore's "Misery Business.".
Rodrigo admitted she was "a little caught off guard" by the confusion over attribution. "It was very confusing at the time, and I was inexperienced and enthusiastic," she said. Rolling Stone in 2023.
