Ozzy Osbourne's latest memoir contains one of the strangest details of his final years: the Prince of Darkness became obsessed with Pink Lady apples.
The late Black Sabbath frontman wrote about this wish in his posthumous autobiography «Last Rites» , co-written with Chris Ayres. Grand Central Publishing released the book on October 7, 2025.
According to an excerpt published in The Times, Osborne said the habit began during his final months in Los Angeles before returning to England. The apples were supposed to be Pink Lady apples from Erewhon, a high-end grocery store in Los Angeles.
Osborne said the cravings for food would hit him at night.
Osborne wrote that it got to the point where he'd eat as many as 12 Pink Lady apples on some nights. He even said he'd ask someone to drive him to the Erewhon store to buy them because he didn't want to receive bruised or damaged apples.
