Just over a year after resuming touring following a hiatus in 2018, Paul Simon is bringing his acclaimed A Quiet Celebration tour to the screen.
A concert film of the 84-year-old singer-songwriter Paul Simon's "Paul Simon: The Quiet Celebration Concert"« will be released on June 26 on Disney+ and Hulu. Recorded during Simon's August 5-6, 2025, performance at Seattle's McCaw Hall, it chronicles the album's tour. «Seven Psalms» 2023, a meditative album that helped him return to the stage. An accompanying live album will be released on October 9.

The tour itself was a marked departure from Simon's previous large-scale arena shows. Each night began with a full performance of "« Seven Psalms", followed by a second set that combined signature hits of his career, such as "Graceland," "Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard," and "The Boxer," with catalog favorites found throughout the year, including "Train in the Distance," "St. Judy's Comet," "Something So Right," and "Rene and Georgette Magritte With Their Dog After the War.".
«"This tour allowed me to play with musicians again," says Simon. "I've missed that a lot. Everyone really enjoyed it. There was a sense of camaraderie and excitement about playing this music that we were truly interested in, and that had a significant impact on me. It was one of the most extraordinary tours of my life—perhaps the most joyful.".
The newly released trailer also revisits one of the main issues surrounding Simon's return to the stage: the hearing loss in his left ear, which manifested itself during the recording of the album. «Seven Psalms» . "I had no idea how to perform live," Simon says in the video. "It took me years to start playing with musicians again.".
Simon tours with a band featuring Caleb Burhans, Jamie Haddad, Gyan Riley, Mick Rossi, Andy Snitzer, Nancy Stagnitta, Mark Stewart, Eugene Friesen, and drummers Steve Gadd and Matt Chamberlain. Simon's wife, Edie Brickell, joins the band for a few songs each night.
Simon recently completed the European leg of his tour and kicked off a new North American run on June 3rd in Stanford, California. Upcoming dates include two shows in his hometown, Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, before wrapping up on July 18th at Ravinia Stadium, near Chicago.
