In an interview with PEOPLE, Paytas revealed she's taking GLP-1 to shed pounds and reach her fitness goals after months of trying to lose weight on her own. During the interview, the YouTuber said dieting has always been a big challenge for her, given that she "grew up on fast food and processed foods.".

«"I always ate out and always overate. I never felt full in my life," Peytas said, adding that she's been openly sharing her journey to a healthy lifestyle with her followers for years. "After one meal, I'm already thinking about the next one," she said.

After having three children, Paytas gained 80 pounds and decided to take her health seriously; however, things didn't go as planned. "I always tried to eat naturally," she said, adding that she "starved myself" and worked out rigorously at the gym.

«"I've tried everything else in my life, like all the fad diets, so I thought, 'Okay, if GLP-1 helps so many people, I should give it a try,'" she said.

After trying a drug containing GLP-1—a glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist that the Cleveland Clinic says influences feelings of satiety—Peytas said she was pleased with the results.

«"It's a miracle for me because now I can eat the foods I love and just eat less," she said, adding that she had previously struggled with the "noise food makes.".

«"It's just an incredible feeling because I've never experienced such a feeling of fullness before. It's a miracle. It's truly meant for people like me," she said.

Paytas says she has lost 26 pounds in six weeks since starting the medication.

While Paytas is thrilled with her journey and how she's losing weight faster than ever before, the "Just Trish" podcast host said her weight loss has nothing to do with seeking approval from others.

«"I've always heard comments about my weight. It's always been tough. Five months postpartum, and people are like, 'Oh, she's still pregnant.' It really puts pressure on me. But for me, it was never about how I looked. It was just about my performance and my lack of energy on stage," she said. "So when people pointed to these photos to make fun of my weight, I saw how my knees hurt, how I couldn't stand. That's what motivated me.".

According to Peytas, who has responded to criticism of her appearance before, her journey to a healthy lifestyle isn't about the number on the scale, but how she feels. "And looking at these photos, I realized I wasn't feeling my best," she said.

According to Peytas, after incorporating GLP-1 into her daily routine, her life changed in unexpected ways. Having lost 26 pounds, Peytas can now play with her three children—Malibu Barbie, Elvis, and Aquaman—in the park and has even incorporated new forms of exercise into her life.

«"It's given me a wonderful tool for achieving my best health and fitness, which is truly liberating," she said. "I used to work out twice a week, but now I work out every day. I do at least an hour of cardio and Pilates every day.".

So, does Paytas plan to use GLP-1 long-term? In an interview with PEOPLE magazine, the Beetlejuice actress said the drug "is part of my life.".

Although she admitted that she hasn't been taking the medication for very long, she sees no reason to stop taking it anytime soon.

«"I eat in moderation and don't think about food too much. So, since I've spent 38 years of my life obsessed with food, it would be great to spend the next 38 years just thinking about food in moderation," she said.
