If you were disappointed by The Who's farewell tour last year, don't worry, because according to Roger Daltrey, the classic rock band's story isn't over yet.
In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine published on Thursday, May 28, Daltrey stated that the band still has "farewell tours" planned in England, Australia, and the rest of the world. But the catch is that these tours won't take place until 2027.
«"It won't be possible this year because Pete has to have another knee operation, which will keep him out for a while," Daltrey said of his bandmate, Pete Townshend. "And I've had some health issues in the meantime, but we're hoping to get it all done next year.".

Even better, Daltrey says The Who won't be calling it quits after these farewell tours. He says they'll still be open to performing if they're "invited to do a charity concert or something.".
He adds: "I want to say that we're not retired. [We just] don't want to tour America again.".
In addition to his time with The Who, Daltrey has a solo US tour planned for later this year and told the magazine that he wants to continue performing solo gigs as long as his physical health allows.
«"Voices are voices: they don't last forever, that's a fact," he said in an interview. "My voice is incredibly strong and still is. I'm very lucky to have it, but at the same time, it could be heard tomorrow, and if that happens tomorrow, I won't see you in August, it's that simple.".

«"I'm 82 years old, and I still have a lot of energy, I can still perform well. But there's nothing more I can do. I can only do the best I can, and what will be, will be. If everything is the same when I'm 90, I'll still be doing this.".
It's wonderful that Daltrey still loves touring and performing live for fans around the world. It's amazing that he's already 82 years old, as he still sounds so fresh live, so if time is kind to him, he'll be performing for many years to come.
