As announced on June 5th at Summer Games Fest, a new film adaptation of the video game Among Us suddenly appeared on Paramount Plus. While we knew the series was in development, there was no real preparation for its release, so you might be a little confused about what it's about and who's involved. But don't worry, we'll break down who's voicing who in Among Us.
Based on the popular online multiplayer game of the same name, Among Us follows a group of young astronauts traveling on a spaceship delivering ore to a nearby planet. However, their space voyage soon turns into a struggle for survival when a shapeshifting alien, disguised as one of the astronauts, begins picking off the crew members one by one. The crew consists of numerous color-coded characters, each with their own set of tasks they must complete to keep the ship running—a process similar to the game itself.
However, given the sheer number of characters, we've created a handy character guide for Among Us to break down who's responsible for which tasks, how they relate to the game, and which Hollywood star is voicing each character. Orange

Orange, played by Community star Yvette Nicole Brown, is perhaps the voice you'll hear most often, as she's the onboard HR manager, monitoring the crew and ensuring they adhere to the company's strict code of conduct. Orange doesn't have a specific mission in the game, but her role in the show is to explain how the game works to viewers who may not be familiar with Among Us. Among Us's corporation, MIRA, is essentially similar to the Weyland-Yutani group from Alien. MIRA has only one goal: to deliver as much ore as possible to the neighboring planet.
Red

Red is the ship's captain, and just like in the game, he doesn't really do much. In Among Us's multiplayer mode, the cockpit task requires players to sit in the captain's chair and "destroy asteroids," which involves repeatedly clicking on the screen. This simple task is reflected in Red, who acts like he knows what he's doing, when in reality, all he does is play video games in the cockpit while the crew keeps the ship running. Red is voiced by Randall Park, whom you may recognize from The Interview, The Office, and his role as Jimmy Woo in WandaVision.
Green

Green, voiced by Lord of the Rings star Elijah Wood, is the company's incredibly energetic, unpaid intern. As he likes to tell it, Green grew up on a worm farm, but his rural community scooped up all the beans and sent him to MIRA to pursue his dream of becoming an astronaut. In an interview with GamesRadar+, Wood said that even if he could go back and choose a different character, he'd still love to voice Green. "I like Green. He's brave," the actor said. "He's still very green, and I like that.".
Blue and black

Cyan, voiced by Orange Is the New Black star Kimiko Glenn, is an ultra-spiritual, crystal-loving gemologist (which, as Black will tell you, is not the same as a geologist). Black, on the other hand, is a geologist and the polar opposite of Cyan, with a rather bleak outlook on life. Black is voiced by Yellowjackets' Liv Hewson. Together, they spend most of their time in the storage room where the ore is stored. In the game, players in this room perform the task of refueling the engines. But it seems Cyan and Black are simply counting rocks and studying them.
Violet

Purple, voiced by Ashley Johnson, is the ship's security guard, spending most of her time in front of multiple screens, checking security cameras. Among Us fans know this is a crucial task, as it allows for quick identification of impostors. For example, if a security guard spots you in the medical bay and then a dead boy appears there, you risk being accused and expelled from the ship.
Yellow and brown

Both Yellow and Brown are the ship's cooks. They spend most of their time making pizzas, and the rest of their time arguing with Orange about workers' rights. Those who have played the game know that the mess hall plays a huge role. It's the hub of the ship, where players meet when a meeting is called to discuss who might be the impostor. Yellow is voiced by Debra Wilson, who also voices the ship's computer, and Brown is voiced by Phil LaMarr.
Lime

Lime is a ship's engineer who prefers to spend his time hiding in the ventilation shafts. In the game, players are often tasked with cleaning the ventilation shafts, and engineers can use them whenever they please. However, this can create problems, as impostors can also navigate the ventilation shafts, meaning engineers can automatically become suspicious. To make matters worse, Lime, voiced by Wayne Knight, star of Jurassic Park and Five Nights at Freddy's 2, is extremely eccentric and often does things that will raise eyebrows.
Blue

The TV show Among Us doesn't shy away from hinting that Blue is the show's main character, even though he's just a little astronaut like everyone else. Blue is apparently modeled after Dr. Derek Shepherd from Grey's Anatomy, played by Patrick Dempsey. When bodies start turning up, Blue will have his hands full. However, the doctor, voiced by Dan Stevens from Beauty and the Beast, is tasked with scanning other players, a real-life task in the game that helps prove one's innocence. However, impostors usually just pretend to be scanned.
White

White is a carefree, super-rich guy who wins a boat trip after his butler finds him the winning token. So, he's a bit like Verruca Salt from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Like Green, White represents a new player who's new to the world of Among Us and learning to complete the tasks needed to keep the ship afloat. White is voiced by Patton Oswalt, who starred as Remy in Ratatouille.
