With Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey rumored to be getting married this summer, it's only logical that the pop singer would take a break from releasing music. Well, this is Taylor Swift, after all. She seems to be always writing and recording music. And the latest theory about her future plans revolves around «Toy Story 5» , and rumors are starting to gain momentum (although the director partially denied them).

What did the Toy Story 5 director say about the Taylor Swift theories?

In May, Taylor Swift fans began discussing the possibility of her participation in the soundtrack to "« Toy Story 5, when a countdown briefly appeared on her website, against a backdrop of a blue sky and white fluffy clouds, just like Andy's room. Then fans took a look at her recent wardrobe and noticed that she's been wearing colors associated with the films "« Toy Story» .

When rumors really started to spread, Khoslaa asked co-director and screenwriter Andrew Stanton and his castmates about Taylor Swift's situation. Here's what he said:

We'd never seen this before, and it surprised us. We'd be flattered. The sad truth is, last week we watched a film score being mixed, and the song at the end wasn't Taylor Swift.

While many took this as a refutation of theories about Taylor Swift's connection with "« Toy Story 5» , many Swift fans stubbornly continued to believe this version, and the interviewer commented in her video: «He never said there wouldn’t be a song in the middle…» Did Stanton use this interview to mislead fans, or are they just joking about Swift’s new music?

Then Pixar excited fans even more.

Since then, a billboard has appeared.« Toy Story 5» with a simple "TS" caption and the same clouds in the background. Pixar even posted it with an animation of Jessie the cowgirl dancing and the caption, "She makes these moves up as she goes!" Take a look:

Since the caption clearly references Taylor Swift's song "Shake It Off," evidence of Swift's collaboration on this film, which will be released in 2026, begins to look much more likely. Check out some of the comments:

  • «"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THE WORLD OF SWIFTIENESS?" — @francisdominiic

  • «Taylor Swift? ☁️💙" — @leoealisson

  • «"It's Toy Story, baby, just say yes!!❤️" — @kristarose143

  • «"Jessie, those dance moves are so magical 💜" — @emilynels8

  • «"The life of a dancer? More like the life of a cowgirl 🤠" — @zachpincince

So, despite the denials, Taylor Swift fans are still convinced that she is involved in this film.

In Toy Story 5« There are plenty of famous faces already. Conan O'Brien has a fun character—a potty training toy—and Bad Bunny plays Pizza in sunglasses alongside the film's regular cast. And yes, Tom Hanks is back as Woody, even though the director told us the film was originally written without the cowboy. So, it seems entirely possible that one of the world's biggest pop stars wrote an original song for this film, one that could have been featured anywhere but over the end credits.

We will officially know about it when the cartoon "Toy Story 5"« will be released in cinemas on June 19.
