Rod Stewart canceled two Las Vegas concerts just hours before he was scheduled to take the stage.
The 81-year-old legendary rock musician was scheduled to perform at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on May 29 and 30, but the event was canceled before the doors even opened.
A representative for Stewart told the Las Vegas Review: "Following doctor's advice, Rod Stewart has regretfully canceled his shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on May 29 and 30, but plans to return with concerts beginning June 2.".
Stewart's own statement read: "My apologies to my fans. I'm taking vocal rest while recovering from a sinus infection. I look forward to seeing you at a future Caesars Palace concert or on the summer tour.".

One X user reported receiving a cancellation notice at 5:48 p.m., less than two hours before the show was scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
«"It feels like the Colosseum is cursed," another person commented.

One concertgoer said he learned the show was cancelled less than two hours before it started.
Another wrote: "He needs to retire and spend the rest of his years in peace, honestly.".
Rod Stewart has been photographed in a rare family photo after announcing his farewell tour.
However, Stewart made it clear that he has no plans to quit music.
In 2024, after announcing his farewell tour, he clarified that he was giving up large-scale touring, but not performing in general.
«"This will be the end of my massive world tours, but I don't want to retire," he wrote in a statement on social media. "I love what I do and I'm doing what I love.".

He continued: "I'm in good shape, I have thick hair, and I can run 100 metres in 18 seconds at 79 years old.".
Last year, Stewart told AARP, "I keep myself in great physical shape. I've played football my whole life—not as much now because I had knee replacement surgery. And I've always had a coach—the same guy for 38 years.".

In an interview with the publication, he revealed that he has a "massive" gym and indoor pool, explaining: "We do a lot of underwater training where the trainer throws a brick into the pool and I have to dive in, push the brick to the edge of the pool and come up.".

In addition to swimming, Stewart said he also trains on his private treadmill, performing 100-meter sprints.
