Weaving, 34, says she's "grateful" for this exciting time in her life, which also includes a personal accomplishment: she and her husband, 37-year-old screenwriter and director Jimmy Warden, recently welcomed their first child, a girl. A native of Adelaide, Australia, she has been acting professionally since her teens, appearing in the Australian drama series «Out of the Blue» , but she says she never imagined she'd one day have the life she's built in the US. "I think I was just lucky to have worked at all. I remember the idea of moving to Los Angeles seemed so big, daunting, and exciting. And even auditioning was hard. Even finding an agent was hard," she says.
Her persistence paid off: slowly but surely, Weaving is the niece of actor Hugo Weaving, best known for the film "The Matrix"« , - earned a reputation as a sought-after supporting actress, landing roles in films such as «Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri» 2017, nominated for an Oscar in the Best Picture category.

Her roles in the 2017 thriller «"Nanny"» and horror comedies of 2019 «Ready or not?» brought her recognition as a leading actress (and scream queen). Her dedication was obvious to her colleagues. Caroline Caroline Gallner: "She was willing to dive right in, and we were able to film and shoot and have a great time.".
And yet, the self-doubt hasn't gone away. "I still have impostor syndrome," she admits. "It's not as bad as it used to be. Years of uncertainty, not knowing when you'll be able to work again, and questions like, 'Will anyone call me back?' and 'Will anyone hire me?' I don't know if it'll ever go away. But I'm much better at just trusting the process and not stressing about it.".

Becoming a young mother has given her much more pressing concerns. She calls motherhood "strange," but in a good way. "Every day you discover something new and learn so much about yourself," Weaving says. "My heart is outside my body now.".
In the future, she would like to collaborate more with Warden. They met while working on the film "The Nanny"« , and last year he wrote the script and directed film "Border"« , in which Weaving starred alongside Ray Nicholson. "I'd love to work with him on another project; it would be so fun and easy. And the parenting issues, too!"«
As for her future professional plans? "I'm just living one day at a time," she says. "If there's something I can't give up, we'll figure it out. And if not, I have a pretty good role as a mother.".
The film "Caroline Caroline"« is now showing in cinemas across the country.
