This isn't Taylor Swift's first experience with curls.

The 36-year-old Grammy Award winner is releasing a new single for the cartoon. «Toy Story 5» , which was announced on Monday, June 1. The song's cover art unexpectedly showcases her natural hair texture.

In recent years, the "Opalite" singer has sported long, straight blonde hair, but in the new photo, she's sporting a textured boho-western hairstyle with bangs.

One of the last times the Grammy Award winner was seen with golden locks was in 2024, during a party in Sydney with friend Sabrina Carpenter. That evening, she wore her hair down, opting for a casual yet stylish outfit for the outing. Earlier that year, she also returned to this retro look while supporting her current fiancé, Travis Kelce, at one of his football matches.

Fans mostly associate Swift's natural hair with the beginning of her career, as it was featured on the covers of her first few albums, including Taylor Swift 2006, Fearless 2008 and Speak Now 2010.

In an article for the magazine Elle , In a post dedicated to her 30th birthday, Swift shared how her hair has changed over the years. "I've learned that hair texture can completely change," she wrote. "I was born with incredibly curly hair, and now it's STRAIGHT. It's the same straight hair I dreamed of every day in middle school. But just when I started to accept that I loved my curls, they left me. Please pray for their safe return.".

Taylor Swift unveiled her new music release alongside a countdown that appeared on her official website. It featured an image of Jessie from the film dancing on a rooftop and a billboard identical to those that have appeared in many cities, featuring only the letters "TS" and 13 fluffy white clouds.

On Instagram, she revealed the title of the track: "I Knew It, I Knew You." This song will be her first new release since the album's release. «The Life of a Showgirl» in 2025 and will mark a reunion with her frequent collaborator and friend Jack Antonoff.

The song "I Knew It, I Knew You" is now available for pre-order exclusively on Taylor Swift's website, and the premiere cartoon "Toy Story 5"« will be released in cinemas on June 19.
